The Journal of Entropic Surrealism ( JoES ) was first launched in September 1981. To date there have been over one-hundred volumes each comprising a variable number of chapters or issues. The current volume #117, comprises issues #1 to #64 - issues #1 to #46 inclusive are subject to a court restricting order and are unavailable for scrutiny at this point in time - the appeal, to the Court for International Appeals (CIA) is ongoing at this time. In fact some of these have been lost ! The journal (JoES), however, is produced by Elvis-Picasso himself from his office/studio in the World Trade Centre (sic).

The journals were undoubtedly the precursor to the now ubiquitous 'blog', in that they represented a desperate communication of the world which Elvis-Picasso was experiencing to a world he perceived as distant and alienated. The journals (JoES) are a personal diary/blog that is his communication with the only communicant that is accessible to him - the medium of communication itself.

Thus it is significant that Elvis-Picasso initiated the first post-Modern pre-technological necessity of media communication - communication designed, either for communication itself, or for the desperation built into contemporary media modes of alienation and the frantic and wretched need for identity of self and other.

The journals largely remain unpublished in this country except for these current volumes and some selected pages printed in the international press. It is expected that Elvis-Picasso, with the encouragement of the Elvis-Picasso Gallery, will over the next year put together the earlier volumes for his fans and critics to enjoy - in one form or another.
